It was a weekend in April and my best friend and I had tickets to a NASCAR race in Bristol, TN. After a long day at the track we had a 6-7 hour drive back to Indianapolis. On the way home we started to get hungry. David and I decided to stop at a Krystal somewhere in the middle of Tennessee. I wanted to give it a try since I pass a bunch of Krystals going to and from the Smoky Mountains.
We went though the drive-thru and got a sack full of Krystals to split. Oh my goodness the smell in the car was amazing. Then came the taste test. From the first bite to the last I couldn't believe how hot and fresh they were. That was the start of a beautiful relationship. I was so excited about what we found that I told my wife as so as I got home. It was only a few months later when my wife and I went back to Tennessee and we shared our first Krystal meal together. It was at a Krystal in Pigeon Forge, TN. That's when she found out how good Krystal actually was too.
Since that vacation we have traveled all over the country to go to different Krystal locations. Almost every vacation we stop at least one Krystal to take care of my craving (I have to wait until we are on vacation since the closest Krystal is 200 miles away). I will continue to plan my vacations around a Krystal until I move near a Krystal or if Krystal decides to branch off to the Indianapolis area. Since 1996 I have been to nearly 20 locations:

posted on Apr 10, 2007 at 10:30 PMHey! Spring Break was awesome! Got to Krystal in Orlando and tried the Mix n' Match combo - amazing! I couldn't smuggle any Krystals onto the plane home, but that just means another road trip! Hope all is well with you!
